What was the reason you wanted to braid your hair?
Because I was in the process of transitioning
What were your first thoughts/fears about getting braids?
At first I thought they would be unflattering and I watched so many warning videos about women getting them done and losing their edges or having some hair fall out.
What was your experience with Hair by Karyne?
Super positive! Luckily I was blessed to have Karyne be the first person to do braids on my hair after 10 years of wearing my hair relaxed.
What is/was your favorite protective style?
Torn between my box braids and goddess locs. They’re different looks and I loved them equally on me!
What kind of reactions do you get from people when they see your protective styles done by Hair by Karyne?
Everyone always asked me where I got my hair done when she did them. They were impressed by how neat and natural they looked!
Since getting your hair done by Karyne, how has your hair benefited?
I’m still transitioning but the density from my root (natural hair) to my ends (relaxed hair) is the same! That’s crazy y’all no demarcation line for me
