Rooted in tradition and inspired by storytelling, the kitchen celebrates the art of gathering through thoughtfully crafted cornbread in a variety of
flavors, each recipe honoring the warmth and heritage behind the table.
Created by braid artist, designer, and cultural curator Karyne Tinord, Kay de Trés Kitchen reflects the same philosophy that guides her work
in beauty and art: care, creativity, and community. Just as braiding is a craft passed down through generations, the recipes and experiences
shared through the kitchen carry their own stories of culture, connection, and nourishment. More than a menu, Kay de Trés Kitchen is an experience—

Drawing influence from Southern heritage, global flavor traditions, and the vibrant energy of New York City, each cornbread offering is prepared with care and intention. The Baker
At the heart of Kay de Trés Kitchen is founder, artist, and baker Karyne Tinord, whose creative vision brings together culture, craft, and comfort through food. Known for her work as a braid artist and cultural curator, Tinord approaches baking with the same philosophy that guides her artistry—care, creativity, and respect for tradition.
Her signature cornbread creations are inspired by the flavors of the dishes she grew up loving, including meals prepared by her mother and the rich culinary traditions of her Haitian heritage. Each recipe becomes a reinterpretation of those memories, transforming familiar flavors into cornbread variations that carry both nostalgia and imagination.
